Another new habit I have attempted to instill is the use of alarms on my phone as reminders for meditation. I have two alarms set. One for morning, one for evening. The trick is not to dismiss the alarm without doing the meditation.
I have attempted to use my calendar app on my Samsung as the reminder as well as scheduling all my appointments and such. However, it turns out I am a ludite and work best with pencil and paper planners. The alarm system works for me though.
I can only surmise it has to do with the simplicity of it. No color coding or email reminders or anything extra to it. Yay for simple and straightforward.
